Jacobsen Equipment and the U.S. Open

July 17, 2010 - One of golf's premier tournaments starts today as the U.S. Open kicks off on the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA.  This is also an especially important tournament for Jacobsen.  As the official equipment supplier to Pebble Beach Company, orange equipment will be on hand to keep the course in pristine condition during the 4-day event.  Among others, Pebble Beach Golf Links operates LF-3400 fairway units, Eclipse 122 walking greens mowers and AR-522 and HR-9016 wide area rotary mowers.  Jacobsen is proud to support the efforts of the Pebble Beach Company during this prestigious tournament.

Pebble Beach will host 156 players for this, it's fifth, U.S. Open Championship.  Lucas Glover, who conquered Bethpage State Park's Black Course last year, will be on hand to defend his U.S. Open Champion's title.  Also competing will be 2010 Quail Hollow champion Rory McIlroy, Angel Cabrera, Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk.
